Joshua 22:9, “So the Reubenites, Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned home, parting from the [other] Israelites at Shiloh in the land of Canaan to go to the land of Gilead, their own land of which they had been given POSSESSION by the command of the Lord through Moses” (AMP)
“POSSESSION” = ‘Achuzzah(ah-chooz-zah) Strongs #272: Something Obtained, Seized, or Held.
‘Achuzzah’ Usually Refers to the Land of Israel (or any portion of it), Which is to be Held Forever By Jacob’s Descendants.
In Psalm 2:8, God Promises His Messiah the Remotest Parts of the Earth (that is, the Whole Earth) For His POSSESSION (‘Achuzzah). “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your Inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your POSSESSION” (AMP)
The Related Verb Form Is ‘Achaz, Means To Seize, Acquire, Lay Hold Of, Get, Obtain, Catch, Take POSSESSION , Grasp! This Word is Frequently Translated “Take Hold Of”, As In Exodus 15:15, “Now the chiefs of Edom are dismayed; the mighty men of Moab [renowned for strength], trembling TAKES HOLD OF them; all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away – little by little” (AMP) and Job 38:13, “That it might TAKE HOLD OF the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?” (NKJV).

The Land Is Your Heritage, So Stop Being Timid and Be Tenacious!
Today, Determine You Will Obtain It, Seize It, Acquire It, Lay Hold Of It, Get It, Catch It, Grasp It…Whatever It Takes…TAKE POSSESSION OF THE LAND! It’s Yours!
“Behold, I have set the land before you; GO IN AND TAKE POSSESSION OF THE LAND which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them AND TO THEIR DESCENDANTS AFTER THEM” (Deuteronomy 1:8 AMP)
